The breaker's yard of Châtillon in Belgium opened after the Second World War, further to the evacuation of the nearby american military base.
The cars belonged to the soldiers who were stationed in the area, and, as the cost of their rapatriation was considered too expensive, hundreds of them were left in an open field.
In 2010, the site has been dismantled on order of belgian administration.
